Family deep conditioning day!

Hey hey hey!!! I get a lot of questions about our hair care and in particular what we used in the picture below. We try to fit in deep conditioning on days where we don’t have any plans. Well Saturday was rainy and gloomy all day, perfect day for us to get tackle these heads.


I love using natural products without harsh chemicals, Eden body works is a product I trust and luckily it works great on each of our different hair types 🙌🏽 (plus hubby’s beard).  We kind of neglected our hair for like 2 weeks, so I wanted to add some extra things to boost the deep conditioner, like a deep conditioner on steroids lol.


  • The humectant properties of honey help regulate and retain moisture in hair, plus honey is said to strengthen hair follicles for healthy growth.
  • Argan oil is proven to make hair softer, silkier and shinier. It is the ideal hair conditioner, and it can even help to treat split ends and tame frizzy hair.
  • Use coconut oil as a natural way to help your hair grow longer, thicker, and faster. The vitamins and essential fatty acids naturally found in coconut oil nourish the scalp and help to remove sebum build-up from hair follicles.
  • peppermint essential oil has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties, which help to cool the scalp and eliminate dandruff. It stimulates hair growth because of the increase blood circulation to the scalp when it is applied through an oil massage or added in the shampoo or conditioner. 

I simply add my desired amount in a bowl, mix together and apply all over our hair. I comb it through to make sure all of our hair is coated. We ran out of shower caps so yes we used Kroger bags lol, I am not ashamed!! We let the conditioner sit in our hair for about 30 minutes to an hour, and then rinse with cool/cold water. Pretty simple and straight forward. Ideally, we would love to do this weekly but that definitely doesn’t always happen. Let me know if you would like more haircare tips and tricks. 💜
